Job description
Do you want to build and grow a new market for a European healthcare scale-up in Canada? As an Account Manager at Momo Medical, you will take full ownership of our growth in the Greater Toronto Area. This is not a traditional account management role. You will build your own pipeline, close new partnerships, and drive expansion within long-term care organizations.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable operating independently but thrives in a close-knit team. You enjoy being on the road while staying closely aligned with your colleagues to build and grow the Canadian market together.
This role requires a hands-on, “boots on the ground” mindset. You are not only focused on closing deals, but also willing to contribute wherever needed to make the team successful. We are looking for an Account Manager for the Southern Ontario Area, based in the GTA.
Who is Momo?
Momo Medical is a fast-growing and ambitious scale-up, tackling one of the biggest societal challenges: the future of elderly care. Over the next 10 years, the demand for care will double, while 30% of the current workforce will retire. Our innovative solutions aim to reduce the pressure on healthcare workers while improving the quality of care. In short, enhancing the quality of life for LTC residents and creating higher job satisfaction for care professionals.
Headquartered in the Netherlands, we serve LTC homes in Europe and North America. As we branch out into Canada, we are building a local team of motivated professionals who are passionate about making a tangible difference in healthcare.
What success looks like in this role
📈 You consistently generate and close new pilot projects with LTC Homes
🤝 You convert pilots into long-term partnerships and expand within current accounts
🚗 You spend 70% of the time in LTC homes, meeting with care homes across Southern Ontario, so you’ll be out and about most of the time.
🧠 You operate independently and structure your own pipeline and follow-ups, but work closely with the Canadian Team
💛 You contribute to better care for nursing home residents and help reduce the workload for healthcare professionals.
Your responsibilities
As an Account Manager at Momo, you are the face of Momo Medical for both existing and new healthcare organizations. You are responsible for the full commercial cycle: from first outreach to signed partnership and expansion. You proactively build your own pipeline through calls, visits, and conferences. You engage with decision-makers, identify key challenges, and position Momo as a solution. You lead pilot programs and ensure they convert into long-term contracts. You maintain and expand relationships within existing accounts, aiming to scale across multiple LTC locations.
Your key responsibilities include:
Acquiring new healthcare organizations by offering a free three to six-month pilot period. You proactively approach care organizations by phone, visits, and conferences. You engage with management teams and identify their core challenges.
Launching and successfully completing pilot periods, ensuring that healthcare organizations are eager to continue working with us. You remain their main point of contact and involve key decision-makers throughout the process.
Expanding existing relationships by maintaining and strengthening partnerships with key accounts, aiming to scale our solution across Long-term care homes.
Being on the road 70% of the time to meet with management teams of care homes across Southern Ontario.
Continuous learning and development – At Momo, we value growth. This means giving and receiving feedback, embracing mistakes as learning opportunities, sharing your ideas, thinking strategically about Momo’s growth, and working proactively on your own development.
Who are you?
You have 5–7 years of experience in a commercial role where you owned the full sales cycle (from prospecting to closing), ideally in a startup, scale-up, or SaaS company.
You have a driver’s license and own a reliable car to visit all the LTC homes.
You are an active listener and curious: What the LTC Homes’ challenges? What does this organization need? And how can we collaborate to solve the biggest challenges in elderly care?
You are comfortable building a market with limited structure and no existing playbook.
You are not focused solely on making the sale, but are motivated to build relationships, learn what the Momo value is, and maintain valuable contacts throughout the region.
You work in a structured and organized manner. You proactively maintain an up-to-date sales funnel, plan consistent and timely follow-ups with care homes, and manage your daily schedule with clear priorities and discipline.
You are flexible, hands-on, and ready to pave the way. Momo is new to Canada, and we’ve just started to build a local team. You are confident, love challenges, and eager to adapt and continue learning. In return, you will have the flexibility and creativity necessary to help Momo grow in the upcoming years!
You are able to communicate with different layers in an LTC organization, from executives to frontline care professionals. You are comfortable interacting at the management level, engaging with executives and location managers in a clear yet tactful manner (the healthcare sector has its own unique dynamics).
It’s a plus if you have a network in the long-term care industry.
